I think the vote is not representative. Who knows, maybe only 50 people voted? And only a handful of preselected bands you could choose from?? There should not be such votes anyway, who cares about it in a year's time? What makes Coldplay best band in the world anyway? The amount of records they sell? It's all too commercial. Muse should have won, no band can create an atmosphere in a arena so big as Wembley, not even coldplay. Bellamy isnt anything like Thom Yorke. Oasis are completely past it and Metallica havent released a decent album in years. It should have been Muse by a long long way. Coldplay used to be decent but they have become so by numbers and boring it is unreal. I like them and I like Martin. At least he admits that they are cack. I love coldplay, bought all there CDs, had been in Germany for his gig,my first gig of them, but can any band compare with MUSE? In one year I had been on 15 gigs of them, Mr. Belamy is a genius, how he play guitar, piano, his creative lyric blow away my mind!
Muse live-act is incredible, two nights sold out at Wembley the last year, its was so great, it´s was unforgettable for my whole live, no, I love them, no, I adore them!

Coldplay, as I have said countless times gives Lukewarm performance. Muse on the other hand is electrifying. Obviously the award was bought by Coldplay if anything, because a band that is supposed to be cutting edge on the music scene isn't exactly up to date with good standards.

It is obvious though, because Muse has a smaller, more dedicated fanbase, whereas Coldplay is mainstream.

If you search live performances on youtube, the difference is like night and day as to which band draws the crowd in more and delivers the kickass performance.

It's funny that muse didn't even get the nod for best live act, rather being kaiser chiefs.

People are entitled to their own opinion and if Coldplay won the award, they won the award. They are still a fantastic band even if people think that certain bands were better. I don't see why Coldplay get so much critisism. I think they're fantastic and I have grown up through my teens with their fantastic music. I love them.
