  • Jesse Malin, Ryan Adams and the Hold Steady have brought the best albums out this year so far....thats still awaiting Magic by Springsteen and Pull the Pin by Stereophonics which is brilliant!!!! Manics album is great so is Arcade Fire's. Kaiser Chief have the uncanny ability to make ears bleed- shoddy! OCEAN COLOUR SCENE...get em back in the big time!!!

    Posted by at 10:25 AM | October 9, 2007

  • amy has done agreat job with Back to black so she totally deserve the award!!! I'm sure she has the best album of the year.

    Posted by at 12:48 PM | October 9, 2007

  • Kaiser Chiefs rip-offs and the Manics has-beens?? You clearly don't know what you're talking about!!!

    Posted by at 02:43 PM | October 9, 2007

  • WTF! How can you give an award to a druggy like her! anyway at least its not arctic monkeys cos personally i think that there album was shite not a patch on the first album. Kaisers should of won though :|

    Posted by at 05:07 PM | October 9, 2007

  • er, person above with the big list - seriously, get a job!

otherwise, where was Interpol - scandalous!

    Posted by at 06:33 PM | October 9, 2007

  • I have to be honest when i say i do not think amy winehouse deserved to win such a proud award when her songs sound like she is just talking, which any one can do. This award should have gone to arctic monkeys or someone else with a bit talent such as the enemy.

    Posted by at 09:05 PM | October 9, 2007

  • So undeserving! It's clear this one should've going to AM. This album is even better than their debut. Or even Kaiser Chiefs, for that matter, could've won! Amy Winehouse is NOT talented.

    Posted by at 07:36 AM | October 10, 2007

  • Kaiser Chiefs? Total blocks. Arctic Monkeys album is extremely overrated. However the amount of attention the Arcade Fire album got was ridiculous, I loved the first album but the Neon Bible is the worst ten quid I've ever spent. I'm ashamed to say I got caught up in all the hype.

    Posted by at 12:26 PM | October 11, 2007

  • Kaiser Chiefs are VERY good but no-one beats the manics!

    Posted by at 04:42 PM | October 12, 2007

  • ARCTIC MONKEYS SHOULD'VE WON

    Posted by at 08:03 AM | October 13, 2007

  • NEON BIBLE
    NEON BIBLE
    NEON BIBLE

WOO! Why the hell didn't Arcade Fire win??

    Posted by at 07:09 PM | October 15, 2007

  • A pretty close catagory though I think the Manic Street Preachers just about deserved it. Send Away the Tigers a fantastic return to form. Who would have thought it!?

    Posted by at 10:14 PM | October 18, 2007

  • ONce again why the F**King hell are Bloc Party not here. Weekend in the City is better than the First Monkeys album and if the second is as rubbish as people say than BLoc party should have been here also If Ruby is the Best song on Angry mob that must be some shocking album. Also why not Hats off to thE Buskers

    Posted by at 12:23 PM | October 21, 2007

  • weekend in the city is shit. doesn't compare to the arctic monkeys first album

    Posted by at 01:47 AM | October 22, 2007

  • Best or most popular?

    What a load of crap

    Posted by at 09:20 PM | October 28, 2007

  • it should have been Neon Bible . ill admit i wasnt too keen on it first time i heard it but 2nd time around it had me completely . i think its outrageous that the likes of the killers(who are just plain crap and will be gone in a couple of years anyway)got nominated for best act in the world today and Arcade Fire didnt . smack in the face for that Q . . .

    Posted by at 10:46 PM | October 28, 2007

  • noo

    Posted by at 11:52 PM | November 3, 2007

  • What happened to KOL, because of the times, neon bible wasn't a strong album arctic monkeys are all hype, kaisers was a good album but there are so much better albums released than that shabby list! Thank god sams town didn't make the list that was shite.

    Posted by at 04:10 PM | November 5, 2007

  • Who cares if she's pissed or stoned, give me a break. She's an exceptional artist and entitled to misbehave and the album is great. I wouldnt argue with Neon Bible being up there, but Winehouse deserves it.

  • "Back To Black" was released in 2006. Obviously nothing worthy of the best album award in 2007 ?

    Posted by at 05:33 PM | November 29, 2007

  • No mention of Radiohead?....fair enough. This is the worst 'best of 2007' I've come across by the way. Seriously whoever came up with this list are lost or blind are distracted by they're fat walletts or something...
